In honor of spring's arrival, below are a few quick facts to "dust off" your knowledge of Davidson Housing Coalition.

Did you know...

DHC staff provides Financial Literacy training to youth, partnering with Goodwill Industries, Lowe's YMCA, and Solomon House.

 In the past year, DHC assisted with the closing of 16 homes.  To date, DHC has helped 65 people purchase affordable homes in Davidson. 

The Homebuyer Education and Financial Literacy program counseled 238 clients in 2009. 

Since 2005 HAMMERS, DHC’s emergency home repair program, has completed repairs on 100 homes in Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, and Mooresville. 

In 2009 HAMMERS completed repairs in 34 Lake Norman area homes, utilized over 1,000 volunteer hours, and spent over $31,000.00 making home repairs. 

DHC partners with Charlotte Mecklenburg School’s Parent University program as a

host site for adult education workshops.

The Homebuyer Education and Financial Literacy program is supported by an Advocacy Committee which assists with marketing and program expansion.  Members represent Bank of America, Fifth Third, Regions Bank, BB&T, McIntosh Law, Town of Davidson, Keller Williams Realty, and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
